150 Days Ago - I stopped waiting on Alberta Health Services broken system and took my health into my own hands. 91 Days Ago - I started my pre op diet 55 Days Ago - Flew to San Diego and drove to Mexico 54 Days Ago - Had gastric sleeve surgery at Mexico Bariatric Center 0 Days Ago - Reached 2nd Major Milestone (1st was surgery)
In just 150 days have dropped 12.8 BMI points, two shirt sizes (making clothes feel like are borrowed instead of owned). My belts that barely fit back in June are close to maxed out, and my custom medical shoes, now have inches of extra space because legs are no longer like an elephant; so I’m back in shoes I bought 9 years ago.
The biggest change isn’t even visible. It’s the energy. It doesn’t last long yet; it comes in bursts, but it’s coming back, slowly. For the first time in over 15 years, it’s there!
There is a still a long journey ahead including many more surgeries, but after a year that nearly killed me, and a year that broke me down to my darkest point; this milestone gives me back some hope for the future! Hands down the best Christmas and Birthday gift I could’ve ever received! Just wish Papa was here to see it!
Fun fact: 100 lbs = $5 Million in $100 USD bills; best investment I’ve ever made!"
