For me, Christmas is the ultimate day to remember gratitude and the importance of community.
I used to really dislike the day, the lead up to it, the pressure placed on the perfection of it. The out of control consumerism behind it.
Now, with a different attitude toward life in general, I know I get to CHOOSE how I view the day. As our friend Wayne Dyer would say, “when you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change” … this has become a bit of a moto in my life, reminding me there is always a better outcome depending on how I view the world.
💝I choose to view the ‘consumerism’ more as an opportunity to show my appreciation for someone’s presence in my world. 👌The pressure of a perfect day, replaced with the practice of PRESENCE in each moment.
