At this point in gaming, what would a PS6 offer that a PS5 can't? Like the PS4 is already perfectly fine for most games, but the performance boost in the PS5 is nice. But that's about it. We've critical levels of diminishing returns.

This generation needs to be longer than usual. It was waaay too slow to get started

They can increase the cost of their consoles, but they can't increase the amount of games on their consoles.

No need for a 6! Feels like this generation has BARELY started or done enough noteworthy games

I don't know but I'm still waiting for the PS5 games to come out

Whatever it costs, it'll be too much. Gaming should not be this expensive. It also doesn't NEED to be this expensive, but companies have gotten cocky & think nobody will hold them accountable.

Is going to be a disgrace when we realize the amount of sht they are going to take from us. I hope if that is the case, they sell the console for 800-900 so that way they crash and learn a lesson.

After the lack of games for the PS5, I'm not buying another console, especially at the prices they are likely to charge. Seems like it takes over six years for a game to be developed now

Looks like I am either going to stop playing and collecting video games with the newer console releases... or just continue with Nintendo Consoles until they are considered too expensive for my budget, which sadly, the Switch 2 is pretty much at the peak. Not only are the games getting more and more expensive but the hardware and accessories have become too rich for my Blood and are starting to make me Wonder if it's even a hobby I still want to pursue as I get older.

Whatever it is will probably be too expensive. Plus likely all digital. Either way, I’ll just stay on older consoles.

They need to wait until 2029 . Cause they won’t be able to sell any

799.99 for remastered ps5 games and maybe even some ps4 remasters too, no new games though that would be too nice of Sony

It's fiscally beneficial to release your games on as many platforms as possible so when the PS6 launches it won't matter cause all the games will come to PS5 as well. Save your cash friends. These companies need to EARN your purchase. Right now, they believe they are entitled to it.

Honestly I think we might be getting to a point where either console iterations will continue with incremental upgrades or they will pivot to find the sweet spot of low end and high end offerings. If the trend of little to no exclusive games continues across the board the driver becomes who can get the right amount of hardware at a price point that keeps them in the echo sphere.

PS5 Pro is now $750, so I expect PS6 to be at min that or more. I am fine with the Series X and Pro. I am not buying any more consoles except maybe the handheld. Power is not the issue with our current consoles. More quality games are for me.

All I know is regardless of it's cost I think I'll finally pass on one. I had PS1, PS2, PS4, PS4 pro, and now a PS5. I have zero reason to buy a PS5 pro and even less of a reason to pay as much out for a PS6. I'm going to transition to more "budget" PC upgrades over the years at this point. At least I'll have a bit more freedom on where to buy a game and realistic costs for said games. I may miss out on an exclusive every now and again, but at this point I barely play as is.
