Monotype printmaking without a press in layered colors is this week's project in my studio. I'm working on a table surface that measures 30" x 27" to prove that YOU can make these prints without a press, at your kitchen table. I hope you can gather inks, a china marker, 2 plexiglass sheets (one to print from, and another to use as a mixing palette), a reference photo, a wood baren (or a spoon), printmaking paper, a brayer or two, paper towels or rags, maybe some brushes, and rubber gloves.
