All it takes for evil to win is for good men to do nothing.⚔️✝️🛡️☘

I think it depends on what kind of politics you’re talking about. The shooter who murdered Charlie over politics? No, never. To fight for our country? Our morals? Our church? Yes, absolutely.

If you think violence cannot settle political issues, Germany murdered 6 million Jews in the 1940s and was responsible for the deaths of 65 million other people; imperial Japan forces murdered 20 million innocent civilians in the Asian theater. That stopped when the bombs dropped.

If your political goals are to survive and you must fight to secure your sovereignty against tyrants, then violence in defense is absolutely justified in my opinion. Attacking people for believing in a different way of life is not justifiable.

People who say "No, never" must be real mad about the American Revolution. They'd sit around and let a violent communist regime run things , wouldn't they. Of course violence is sometime necessary. It isnt ideal, but to say never is to leave yourself open to exploitation and destruction

I feel like other commenters nailed my thoughts about this question, namely "what kind of violence?" There's violence of aggression, and there is also violence of self-defense, which the Founding Fathers of America engaged in. Is the latter legitimate & justified? Absolutely! Is the former legitimate & justified? That's a little harder to pin down, but I think generally speaking, the answer is no. There tend to be exceptions to every rule.

The American revolution, the Civil War, World War II are excellent examples when this was necessary

Depends. Sometimes you must fight, otherwise those who are willing to do so will destroy you.

Of course there are times when it is necessary. America exists because good men did dangerous things.💥💥

Thank you Lord for those who fought in the revolutionary war.

Clausewitz defined war as "the continuation of politics by other means".

It’s really complicated, and it should never be a first choice. But sometimes the opponent is so consumed by evil that you can’t negotiate. It is then that we really need leaders to direct according to God’s wisdom.

I only turn the other cheek for the gospels sake. I'll defend my family, the weak, the innocent, and my country. The righteous are as bold as a lion. Cowards are the first ones cast into the lake of fire

Only when our government clearly fails to fulfill their oaths and breeches the Constitution. The previous administration failed both, but in a sneaky, cowardly way that wasn't clear enough, but it was close.

Anyone answering “no never” who lives in the US need to rethink their answer. It takes force and violence to throw off the yoke of oppression.

Yes we all have not only a right but a duty to resist tyranny by any means necessary.

It is complicated. Good should not allow evil to flourish. Send them to meet the maker if they are breaking God's laws and putting His people in danger.

For self defense and protection of your love ones. Also against tyranny. If our government becomes corrupt and tries to take our rights away. For example to worship God. This should be the last resort and without any other options.
