You really want spicy? Ok. While I like them in small doses, I don't like how we've been stuck with the Scions for the entire game, especially Alphinaud trying to steal the main character role from the player. Estinien was a breath of fresh air being a job quest npc who joined us so why not the others like Sid from the dark knight story? The Scions have had their time so let's give these interesting job quest npcs something to do instead of sitting and reacting to your msq progress. Have them showing up instead of Scions to help Alexandria, perhaps even have one of them teach Sphene magic again.

FFXIV is so raid focused in it's end game it's ridiculous. PF is such a miserable experience it somehow makes wow's premade groups look like world first raiders by comparison and the battle content outside of raiding is extremely shallow. 14's entire endgame should be completely uprooted and reworked from the ground up, keep almost nothing besides tomestones (and even those probably need a rework because time gated gearing isn't good, it dosen't feel good to say "oh I can't progress my character at all for the rest of the week because I'm done with tomestones/raid"). 14 has not changed it's endgame structure for years at this point. The last time we got an actual meaningful addition to it that stuck with players so much they asked for it back was field operations. If SQE dosen't decide to invest into endgame I'm genuinely convinced this single issue is going to be what's behind the true death blow for this game if SQE dosen't decide to focus on the MMO portion of their MMO.

At the end of Dawntrail we return to the Aetherial Sea, alone making sure we are not followed. In our possession we have a spirit vessel crystal, a regulator and our Azem soul crystal. The game prompts us: “Whose memories do we see?” It’s up to us the player to choose one of four choices, (I picked An Ishgard Knight). There, we use the power of our soul crystal to call forth and absorb the memories into the spirit vessel. We check the regulator to make sure it’s loaded and ready. At this point we linkpearl call a familiar voice to meet us elsewhere, looking satisfied we quietly walk back the way we came.

My takes occult crescent not too bad I've seen worse. And the best part of the patch Hildabrand need i say more when are we getting a manga/anime/light novel of this man the plot and gags are there and i think Michael Jackson possessed the modeling software during that bit. Overall it's a inbetween patch that contained the other half of 7.2. (Still working on my relic weapon 11/18 atma Yoshi-p pls)

There’s genuinely no saving this game with the way things are going and I fully expect that SE will transition over to making mobile the main product with how few limitations it has in exchange for additional costs that hardcore fans will be more inclined to spend on in. The casual community is more scorned than ever by Occult Crescent and turned off by not only the rng grind attached to relics but also yet another high end raid they can never hope to complete. Any arguments about how only X number of atma are required are moot since these players are turning off in droves solely because there’s an rng factor to begin with, which makes their time feel disrespected. They have been told to just go play other games for years now and they’ve since mostly found homes in other mmorpgs and single player titles. There is no reason why I would endure Occult Crescent when I can go play WoW and there’s my unique gameplay with status effects and stuff to do in the overworld or even FFXI. The rot here is obvious and it begins and ends with Yoshi himself. He ruined FF16 and tarnished the mainline series. He is ready to mismanage FF14 into a steady decline into obscurity and I have yet to see any indication that he is actually listening and not just implementing asinine things like a return to atma out of sheer spite for the playerbase that dared to go against his “vision” however terribly myopic and self-centered it is. It’s doomed. The only happy ending here is a buyout of SE by Sony or some other company that then proceeds to kick Yoshi out or curtail his stranglehold on SE’s cash cows. Otherwise, he wouldn’t be getting shown up by a Chinese mobile version of the base game. There’s no more excuses for his incompetence and arrogance. None.

The game is getting stale as hell. In 8.0 hopefully they breathe some new life into this game, and that includes updating the character creation... We don't need another cat race, or anything. Big changes, because if 8.0 rolls out the same formulaic and homogenized job stuff. This game is going to get dropped, and I've been playing since 1.0

Occult Crescent is dogshit, and I'm tired of 14 giving us simply content that takes forever to get stuff done instead of content that's actually fun. I'm sure they will buff the numbers it takes to level jobs and get coins in the future, but them continuously doing that is a slap in the face for people who jump right into new content on launch and I'm so over it. It's totally fine if you like OC, but 1000 bunny treasures, devs, really? Sticking a high number on something doesn't make it fun.
