Does the Nameless King count as a team/duo fight? I,E Ornstein & Smough, Lothric & Lorian etc. On the one hand, it is "two" entities. On the other hand, one health bar. And wouldn't that technically make all mounted enemies a paired fight? (Radahn, Gaius, GYOUBU MASATAKA ONIWA)

@Hardek19

I would say if they both have attacks, it should be considered a duo, but only if you can damage both enemies separately. Otherwise, it's a singular boss with multiple fazes hidden behind the idea of a separate entity dying partway through.

@Bungowumperpuss

The royal gay crippled brothers count as a duo. Storm chicken is more of a phase.

I personally think so , because there is a phase without the dragon and the dragon itself has attacks so it’s like you’re dealing with two people (not at the same time but still ) ..giyobu (I think I butchered his name , the horse boss of sekiro ) in my opinion is the definition of a mount and a boss counting as one .. two phases both have the horse and the horse itself doesn’t attack (mostly) it’s just the guy

If at any moment NK mounted off and you had to fight both at once, then yes, it'd be a duo fight. During the whole fight all you have really is one single target that gets smaller

In my opinion this is more like a two stage fight, like when the soul of cinder changes to have Gwyns move set, not a duo fight as you can't be hit with a move from both of the at the same time and they move together as a single entity

@El_Jengibre-3

It’s just a 2-stage fight where the stages are very different, like Radagon + Elden Beast.

If Harald has a name and lore and cannot be considered a seperate character to radahn, then no other mount can.

What if Nameless King was a giant flying mech, with sword arms, a claw grab, and ranged elemental attacks? They are attached, and therefore the same being essentially.

I don't think of them as a duo. Since Nameless King never dismounts his chicken, I don't have to split my attention and always focus on a single enemy.

@mrslasher1064

I normally only count it as a duo fight if there are 2 distinct healthbars...

If they can a) attack simultaneously b) be killed independently

ER dlc spoilers: Does the final boss of ER's dlc count as a duo? Miquella didnt seem to do much aside from that grab where he tries to miquellest you, unless im missing something. He also doesnt have a healthbar of his own.

I don't think it's a duo fight unless you have to monitor the actions of two enemies individually. Even if they aren't physically tethered, if their actions always overlap in the same way, that's not a duo fight. Like, Putrescence Knight has an attack where the horse does it's own thing. But that combo always happens the same way. You are dodging the one combo involving two moving parts. Not two separate combos. So it's not a duo fight.

@TwiggehTV

Its duo fight because you are fighting the boss and the camera simultaneously

Is the boat man a duo fight? Are all the horseback fights 2v2's?
