I suck at finishing what I started. I get sidetracked by life, and when I come back it's hard to give the same energy I had in the moment. I have a drawing posted on my page that's looking back at me lol.

My problem relies more on figures/poses and trying to modify them differently from the original references/templates/artworks i'm working with. I don't mind per se to copy a reference artwork/irl (referring to the figure/pose) as close, as possible, but at times it makes me question if i'm "just" a human printing machine? Or i have to do on purpose mistakes just to be different than my templates. Although it does has it's merit, it makes me however feel less as an artist and kinda misses out the point of arting. Sure, i can always look up for enough resources, mix them up together which can make sense, but sometimes i'm also spending more my time with searching than actually doing something. It is weird and makes me feel odd, if it does make sense? 🤔

Studying anatomy first didn't help with the stiffness of my poses... Can't make the anatomy I learned work with poses I make, so poses and seeing rythmatic lines in figure drawing is still trouble for me.

I suck at backgrounds, it's my Achilles' tendon, every time I try to make something, idk what background to do and if I have an idea of what I want as a background, I found it so hard to make it, for example a galaxy sky for a character from HSR or water cascades, a cyber city form a birds eye for a comic I was working on in the studio, even though I have less of a rough time with rooms or city landscapes like a street or things like that.

I would say poses, as I find myself typically drawing my characters in similar poses. But, that would also fall into coming up with ideas, as I don't always think of something fresh to draw. Just a similar pose with differing characters.

I'm good at coming up with characters and good enough at drawing them, but figuring out drawings to do for them that isn't just a portrait or reference sheet is difficult for me

I got a lineart method down so good there, colouring I need to work on selecting a little (shading if it's included, also needs some work but only for objects tbh), posing is definietly an issue since I need to look at anatomy a little more due to proportions being off (can never get torsos right...)
