This one has been very interesting to me. And I stand by my suspicion that he possibly has ADHD and may be slightly autistic. My reason for this is because I had an obsession with understanding neurodivergence before an unfortunate turn in life made me become obsessed with understanding narcissism. A lot of people don’t get diagnosed with ADHD or Autism until adulthood because they don’t have high needs. And like HG as a self aware narcissist recognises it in other as a self aware person with AuDHD I recognise it in others also. The first thing that peaked my interest was that he supposedly “didn’t feel comfortable in his own skin” and so I started watching a lot of his interviews and observed his behaviour, even after he got sober he doesn’t ever sit still, fidgets, darts around topics and often has to ask the interviewer to repeat the question as his attention has gone elsewhere. He doesn’t maintain eye contact and he’s usually quite blunt with his answers. His mother being an artists and his father a writer is also an indicator as it’s often hereditary and is very common amongst creative types. Drug and alcohol abuse is common in undiagnosed people to alleviate the anxiety and discomfort they feel. I could well be wrong but if I could, I would put money on this being the case. He seems to show genuine remorse for his harmful actions. He’s clearly uncomfortable during interviews and especially on red carpets and seems frustrated and overwhelmed with lots of people harassing him for questions. He also takes questions very literally and often answers them very literally.

Tom Hardy is a grounded bloke and absolutely loves his rescue dogs. He is not one for attending red carpet events either and private about family.

I'm sure he is as close to normal as any actor/celebrity can be, but it takes a bit of narcissism to even consider being an actor, let alone a movie star. The same goes with politicians. One thing's for sure, he's incredibly handsome, very talented, and a very genuine person.

I like how he puts reporters in their place when they cross boundaries. I think he's clever and ernest. I don't love every role he's played but his Heathcliff portrayal was beautful.

@jadefire1814

He seems pretty normal to me. He doesn't seem to seek extra attention , or have his life at the forefront of stuff all of the time.

Not a narcissist, not an empath. I'm torn between normal and narcissistic.

I think he is a Normy. I do not believe he is an overly empathetic person.

@RationalNon-conformist

It's quite difficult to pinpoint exactly what he is, as he could be a normal with high narcissistic traits, or he could be narcissistic. Although some of his behavior has not been normal.. he's an intense person. I can be intense myself, and per HG, I'm not a narcissist. But his intensity is different.... he can be quite rude. I watched a few videos of him being so rude. I get it, the media can be annoying and intrusive, but the way he looked at him after reminded me of my narc brother. |' ll wait and see what HG's conclusion is. This is one video I watched: Tom Hardy Losing His Cool and Angry For 8 Minutes Straight
