At only 15 years old, he undertook his first three-year retreat, later dedicating 11 years to rigorous study at Dzongsar Monastic College to earn his khenpo degree (roughly equivalent to a PhD). Now, as one of Mingyur Rinpoche’s most senior students and a main teacher for the worldwide Tergar community, Khenpo Kunga beautifully blends his lived experience of the teachings with scholarly mastery.
