Look if you want the best experience watch Fate zero first then play the visual novel it goes extremely hard if you like tragic stories was a lot of haunting bad endings ( I hate sakura to this day I will stand upon this hill until I die she doesn't deserve my boy ) then the vn where you should go

Short answer, kinda? Best way is to not watch but read the source material for everything. Start with the Stay Night VN and then the rest of the franchise makes sense.

Yes. But it is a time sink if you want to get into the more complex stuff. A satisfying time sink though.

It's one of the best things in fiction in my opinion, now it is complicated but you can start very small like watching fate stay night and fate zero before diving into the bigger and more complicated side I can help with any and all questions on this topic so feel free to ask away

Yes. I loved seeing King Arthur (Artoria Pendragon) fight against Cú Chulainn in “Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works”.

I'd say so, even though it can be super confusing at times when they are always changing the lore by adding new stuff that may or may not contridict previously established lore. And don't get me started on continuity and fanon stuff. But don't take my word for it. Watch it, and see if it's for you. I like it mainly for the characters.
