On May 27, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security (Mohr) announced that The State Council appointed Hua Chunying as vice Minister of Foreign Affairs.Previously serving as Assistant Foreign Minister and Director-General of the Information Department, Hua is the longest-serving spokesperson in the history of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
At present, Hua Chunying ranks at the bottom of the five vice-ministers of the Foreign Ministry. She is also the youngest vice-minister of the Foreign Ministry, the first vice-minister of the post-70s generation, and the only woman in the current leadership of the Foreign Ministry.
