Context: Nintendo has recently filed a patent on summoning a character in game. Summoning. A core element to many games period. Should this patent come into fruition and imprint itself into gaming, this means that for at least the next 20 years, game developers on the legal end will have to go through hell to put the simple act of summoning another character in their games. For larger developers it's a gigantic death maze to go through, and for small indie titles it's downright an impossible task, but no matter who you are in game development, it just means more money to Nintendo and less freedom for developers. It also doesn't take a genius to realize this, but Nintendo never uses summons in their games (aside from Pokémon), and nothing in their upcoming lineup appears to either, so to me this just seems like another attempt to get back at Palworld to squeeze every waking dollar out of them within their power and without remorse. I do not know why Nintendo has always been so butthurt by the existence of Palworld. Maybe it was simply because it was flat out better than modern Pokémon titles by a large margin in both optimization and quality of life, or that it was making more money than Pokémon ever could in the current day with their crappily optimized and boring titles, or it could have been neither and they just wanted to throw them down and make them lose all hope. Nintendo consistently manages to floor me with their decisions but in recent memory this one definitely takes the cake in terms of pure stupidity. This company's greed is downright absurd and I do not understand why people have continued to support them after the release of the original Switch and Breath of the Wild. They claim to care about being on the upper edge of innovation but they have gone backwards and resorted to just improving the last console. Their hardware is outdated in every instance of whatever their latest console is, with the original switch having similar processing capacity to an iPhone 8 plus (mind you the iPhone can do more than just play games), and the Switch 2 is outperformed by literally every other handheld console out there WHILE STILL being sold at 500 USD and the games themselves being inflated to sometimes over 100 USD if you don't buy them directly from Nintendo, which frequently backlogs and has purchases arrive late. Not to mention the online vs physical debacle where you pay more money to own a key to download the game then you would to just download the game from the store. Now, even with so many people realizing how horrible this company is, they decide to somehow make themselves look EVEN WORSE to players, further staining their supposed sterling reputation by taking control over a literal creative choice that developers have been allowed to make for years. So many upcoming developments could get halted by this, and for what? So Nintendo can make more money? And yet, the Switch 2 as of me writing this has surpassed 6,000,000 sales, with numbers on a rise. Thank you all for proving to Nintendo that you will literally buy whatever they shove in your face. Pirating Nintendo games is morally correct. 🏴

Dont take this the wrong way, but making people stop enjoying your content purely because of what the did specifically before this unfair treatment you got is confusing me. I got a switch 2, but it wasn't my choice. I didnt want it, but my family still got it. Also, *phone companies have literal underage workers yet no youtuber looks down at their audience for buying it, yet you are seeing people who buy a product from an objectivity more ethical company as lower people*. I hope to see you get famous. I will, because I will stay subscribed, because I want to see you be successful. I want to see you have fun. And I will not stop supporting you because of a single purchase, not to spite you, but because you think everyone who bought a switch 2 are the scummiest people alive. I am sorry to hear about this strike, but me individually did not cause it.

I absolutely agree. But I bought a Switch 2 already. Am I still worthy of staying subbed, or do I have to pull the trigger?
