For those who haven't heard yet, sometime within the past few months Jefferson County removed both of their remaining active Thunderbolt sirens. Yesterday I was able to confirm that the one at Graystone Farms in Hoover, AL, was taken down, though the bare pole (aside from the disconnect left in the off position), while ‪@CentralALSirens‬ and ‪@NepsterWX‬ discovered that the one in North Smithfield Manor Greenleaf Heights was directly replaced with an ex-Shelby County 2001-130. RIP to these two Thunderbolts, especially the Smithfield one since that was the first Thunderbolt siren I ever heard in person.

Here are the three videos I ever got of Jefferson County's last two Thunderbolts:

First second, and third photos taken by myself on 4-2-25 of the North Smithfield Manor Greenleaf Heights Thunderbolt 1000T.
Fourth photo taken by ‪@CentralALSirens‬ on 10-1-25 of the 2001-130 siren that replaced the North Smithfield Manor Greenleaf Heights Thunderbolt 1000T.
Fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth photos taken by myself on 12-1-21 of the Greystone Farms Thunderbolt 1000T in Hoover before and after the siren was tested (video linked above).
Ninth photo taken by myself on 10-1-25 of the bare pole that once housed the Greystone Farms Thunderbolt 1000T in Hoover.
