The “right reasons”suuuuurrree, Mr. Nothing is wrong with HBO’s Watchmen.

As if there are many ways to hammer home that she’s conceptually poor with hardly anything going for her other than being a black girl version of Jimmy Neutron they WANT you to take seriously—and then they pass that down to the majority of All New All Different types like Moon Girl, even Miles in the 2017 cartoon. All with their own expansive boons after boon instead of presenting room for growth and curveballs.

There’s this fun comparison I would like to do and further expand upon soon with MC2’s Spider-Girl and Miles Morales: one could’ve been a threat to Mephisto if Peter didn’t make that blasted deal; the other got what he wanted out of the deal because “he wanted to be unpredictable.”

However, all of that wouldn’t matter because these types hate traditional family structures, the oh-so-cruel idea of handling a white man’s title, and the concept of having a villain (who isn’t popular like Thanos) beat characters with genuine skill and cunning. Honestly, what folks really need from the genre nowadays isn’t new “heroes” that hostler a superficial facade; it’s villains who simply have the advantage instead of being presented feeble or subject to manipulation, such as Batman organizing something with the Joker, all to “test Superman,” which he somehow failed…
