October 8, 2025 From Bible History, Luke 8:49-56 49 While Jesus was still speaking, someone came from the synagogue ruler's house and said, "Your daughter is gone; don't bother the teacher anymore." 50 Upon hearing this, Jesus answered, "Do not be afraid; just believe, and she will recover." 51 Jesus entered the house, but he did not allow anyone to enter except Peter, John, and James, and the child's father and mother. 52 All the people were weeping and mourning for the girl. But Jesus said, "Do not weep; she is not dead; she is asleep." 53 The people were mocking Jesus, knowing that she had died. 54 But Jesus took her hand and cried, "Child, arise!" 55 And the girl's spirit returned to her, and she immediately sat up. Jesus then ordered the girl to be fed. 56 The parents were deeply astonished, and Jesus commanded them not to tell anyone about what had happened. The Raising of Jairus' Daughter The Situation Gets Worse As Jesus was on his way to Jairus's house, a sudden incident occurred, and a considerable amount of time passed. This was the "healing of the woman with a bleeding problem." Last time, I wrote that Jesus only does 100% good. This is easy to say when things are going well. But what happens when things start to deteriorate? Jairus' situation worsened. (1) His only daughter was on the verge of death. (2) Jesus agreed to come to his home, but there were serious disruptions along the way. (3) Then, a messenger arrived, telling him, "Your daughter is gone; don't bother me anymore." Even in these circumstances, can we still say that Jesus only does 100% good? Jairus remained silent throughout this entire process. I might have resented the bleeding woman. Or perhaps he was frustrated that Jesus was wasting too much time. It is said that many synagogue leaders were men of noble character. Jairus was likely one of those men. Jesus told him, "Do not be afraid; just believe, and your daughter will be healed." The words of the messengers may seem to express humility, but in reality, they reveal the limitations of their faith. Do you believe that Jesus is 100% capable of doing good, even in desperate situations? Greater Glory Jesus revealed his greater glory by delaying his progress. (1) Jesus is always in control of the situation. Even the reality of death is under Jesus' control. For Jesus, death is not annihilation, but a sleep. (2) Jesus did not raise the girl from the dead with much fanfare. He simply said, "Child, arise." Jesus' words are powerful. (3) Jesus was accompanied by only a small group of faithful people. Three of His disciples were chosen: Peter, John, and James. When their daughter was resurrected, her parents were amazed. However, Jesus commanded them not to make this miracle public, lest they arouse public curiosity about their daughter. The more hopeless the situation, the greater God's glory will be revealed. Let us too learn to praise the Lord at all times. Today's Prayer God, the Father of Jesus Christ, forgive me for being overwhelmed by visible circumstances. You have control over even the worst thing in life, death. I now resolve to praise the Lord at all times. Help me in my weakness. I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. This is my monologue. The theme is "The Breath of God." The breath of God entered the nostrils of the clay dummy Adam, and man became a living being. God is spirit. Breath describes God's spirit. We previously mentioned that thoughts and ideas become reality. In other words, worldviews become reality. For example, when designing a dream home, this is similar to professional wrestling, where a professional architect listens to the blueprint in the client's mind and puts it on paper, making the client's image a concrete reality. Therefore, faith becomes reality. However, if you are not connected to the worldview of Jesus Christ, you cannot connect with God's Spirit. In other words, you must believe. Believing reconciles you to God and connects you. Jesus Christ bore the sins of all mankind, died on the cross, was buried, and, according to the Bible, rose from the dead on the third day and ascended to heaven before his disciples. This is what happened. The disciples, who witnessed this historic event, spread the news to the whole world. Humans will no longer die. He will surely be resurrected from the dead and, before Jesus Christ, will judge believers and unbelievers on the right and on the left. When we consider ideas and thoughts from the perspective of realization, it is impossible to map out that worldview without studying the biblical view of history. Therefore, those who study end-time scenarios and those who are ignorant and unenlightened have different worldviews. Those who believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ have a worldview of faith. However, the worldview of unbelievers is this world. Abraham, known as the father of faith, believed in the promise of the omniscient and omnipotent God and obtained God's righteousness. In other words, he made a covenant with God. A covenant cannot be made without mutual faith, even in the form of a gift. The same is true for inheritance. Those who deny the relationship cannot make a covenant. Those who receive God's Spirit again must believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ. There is no other way. The eternal homes of people on both sides of the crossroads of the gospel events will be determined. Believers have entered into the creation of a new heaven and earth, and a new man. However, unbelievers are one with Satan. Believers are one with Jesus Christ. This is a spiritual worldview - a world of thought and ideas. Those who believe in the omniscient and omnipotent God receive what belongs to God. However, those who believe in other gods will receive their rewards. Since belief is free, this judgment is fair and just. The price for atonement for sins was paid in full by God the Father - through the blood of His Son, Jesus Christ.
