You might not hear it consciously (although some may be able to discern it with the volume turned up high), but your nervous system just might feel the difference...
To me, this kind of technique is important - to create something that's smooth and subtle enough so that the listener isn't too distracted to sleep or relax, but to have that effect going on... so that it works its magic almost invisibly. Let me know yours thoughts on this!
