Itโs wild how much time some spend trying to prove to themselves theyโre already saved, instead of just walking in that salvation and doing the work Jesus told us to do, preach the gospel, love the brethren, and reach the lost. If weโre truly secure in Christ, we shouldnโt be obsessed with defending our comfort, we should be busy with our commission.
we are saved by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. My concern is when assurance is preached in a way that contradicts James 2, 1 John, and the warnings of 1 Cor 6 and Gal 5.
Repentance is not a work that earns salvation itโs the heart turning because of Godโs grace. The flesh and the enemy hate repentance, because it exposes sin and runs back to Christ.
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:16
Jesus didnโt tell us to sit around proving weโre saved. He told us to *follow Him* love one another, and carry the message to the world ๐โ๏ธ๐
