Deeply saddened by the assassination of Charlie Kirk. America has lost an incredible soul and courageous defender. I didn't know Charlie personally but his videos and great ability to have civil debates has been guiding me for some time now. He has been an inspiration to millions, and to the people who hate him and celebrate his loss - all I can say is that you didn't know him. You only knew a version of him that was sold to you so you can continue to be locked in the cult like beliefs that you're suffocating in.

To trade ideas, and debate is an inherently American value. I know this because it was a value I have learned as an outsider who wasn't born here. Where I come from, shouting each other down, using hierarchy, using your class or station, using age, and even force to suppress and judge ideas are culturally acceptable. I was amazed to see in America that the source of the ideas were irrelevant; all that mattered were the quality of the ideas themselves. That is an incredibly powerful cultural value, and we should do all in our power to preserve it.

Rest in peace, Charlie Kirk.
