Agreed. Getting my Master’s degree was the best move that I made, along with leaving my ex-fiancée!! Choose yourself!!!

Also look into joining an apprenticeship (free route). Learn a trade and get paid while you learn and join the union. Im working on getting into the trades and there's a ton to look into.

I saw a video from a content creator I used to respect saying that BM don't need to go to college, college is for certain kinds of BM( like him and his sons). Stay safe out here, the OPs are hiding in plain sight

if you arent doing any sort of specialized learning or training post high school, you are making yourself economically endangered of working until you're at whatever the max future of retirement becomes, and not being able to even entertain the idea of having offspring that have better opportunities than you. please, everyone, do something past highschool!

I was definitely disappointed to see a certain college educated content creator doing what about-ism for black men not going to college vs non-black men not going to college. I guess BM truly are okay with being at the bottom. SMH 🤦🏽

I got to finish school and almost college out of luck (still in college). I thank my mom everytime for encouraging after I told her that "I'm just not smart" wen my grades were getting bad in high-school. She lit a fire under me. But unfortunately u do have parents that will disparage their children. I remember this lady yrs ago that talked on themis live and her sons were doing bad in school and they called themselves "dumb" and she just agreed with them. I hear alot of blk people talk about that same experience of their parents calling the dumb and feeling dumb in school. It has to start at home to a degree and I believe that moms and dad's do a great at not being involved in their child's education and discouraging them. To be fair, some of these parents have very limited knowledge on education and what it takes to go to college. College isn't easy and it's a lot of investing that u may not have the financial means to do so. That's why alot of blk people from lower class backgrounds struggle with staying or going to college. That's why I can't really be mad at people who critique college or have a problem with how this educational system is ran Also I think men college attendance is dropping over these yrs. It's just weird for people to just pinpoint "blk men not going to college."

There is a Black female content creator that said the same thing about school not being needed. I was like, "So your doctor didn't go to school?"

I graduated hs 2011 my mother was diagnosed stage 3 colon cancer 2012, so hell no i didn’t finish college how? i had zero stability and zero support we had to move but with my mothers non income we couldn’t get approved anywhere, so we had to move in with my brothers bm, my father stayed just a train stop away from my night classes, still had to figure that out too, i had no ride ever and he’d have the nerve to ask me for gas money, but that built me, walking alone to the train station in the dark, so that’s why i worked and bought a house at 26 in 2020, now im still trying to get back on my feet because single home ownership is not for the weak, but i have a fear of going to school with no car, and no money like i tried to do back then, working full time and going to school full time was a lot and idc to do it until i get a new car lol now real estate is calling me, but i would like to finish school just for personal fulfillment, but nobody can make me feel any type of way for choosing me at that time because NOBODY was there when i was going to school and struggling, nobody was depositing funds for me like other kids are blessed to have, EVERYTHING is out the mud for me 🤷🏽

Themis & Thoth
Hello BM and BW,
Please go to school. Any man or woman saying you cannot go to school or giving you excuses as to why you don’t, that person is not your friend. GO TO SCHOOL!!!
To become the doctors, lawyers, politicians (promise you need it here also), teachers, and bankers😬 school is necessary. GO TO SCHOOL!!!!
“They just don’t like black men…” is not a good enough excuse to not deal with the stats around your school attendance. Victimhood is real, but so is a defeatist mentality. You can still try. GO TO SCHOOL!!!
To BM, if BW can do it, so can you. GO TO SCHOOL!!!
Best,
Themis
