I enjoyed it but agree 100% about the xenomorph looking, “Off” I think that as a series we are seeing compromises in effects that are common in a transition from film to TV. The alien looked too…”dry” Not the best word but as close as I can get. In the AvsP movies I always felt that the Xenos looked to “wet” or “slimy” Again. The writing and the acting is strong and the charters and plot are compelling to me so I am fine with overlooking this as I am excited to see how the story unfolds.

I’m gutted, it felt like fan fiction and the SyFy network. Not seeing the gore in action and the fact that the alien would tear apart the room off screen in about 4 seconds and you would just see the aftermath was massively disappointing. I’ve always thought that the alien would do a frenzied attack but would spend at least a few seconds on each victim

I loved how bad the writing was and how dull and bland the characters were. Because if it's one thing the first two films lacked it was the terrible slop writing of Alien Romulus and this franchise needs more of that. Thanks for delivering Disney.

I think the messed up with the kids..wendy would have been enough.dont want this to turn in to a teenage superheroes in grown up bodies type of deal..there is so much good stuff from the comics they could have used,and they still might,hopefully…either Way i Will still Watch it,its Alien..

Second episode irritated me to the max... way everyone reacts after they see alien massacre 20 people... 2 minutes after they watch videos, take souvenirs, laugh and walk around without any protection... Have any of the producers seen Alien/Aliens FFS??? We need that kind of atmosphere, fear...

Man I was waiting for ATs review and im glad I’m reading these comments. Obviously true fans of the Alien universe in here for the most part. I’m truly hoping this show pulls it together over the next 6 episodes somehow but there’s just too much weird none alien stuff like the Ice Age movie being such a heavy part cause the directors son loves it?

Last night I just wanted to watch the first two Alien: Earth episodes for fun, as a fan, and didn’t want to ruin it with any note-taking. But today I have been watching the first episode again, pausing, noting, and writing up a review. A video should likely be up tomorrow.
