@satvikmishra0

It already kind of work like that in USA or other markets... Their mobile operators do this... It can work... If implemented carefully with good subscription plans

It's basically a credit card emi. They take the card and block the amount. Until it's paid

I think hating them is not right at this moment when we dont even know their plans...... maybe their target audience is upcomming Esports athletes or skillful content creators who can't afford flagship devices. And require device for short term, until they monetize their skill. I might be wrong because i don't know about them and i am commenting just based on the information on this post. But if a person gets into this just for showoff or anything similar then its his fault not the company .This is just my opinion...... For a creator to grow he requires skills, platform and equipment. ....skills and platform are available for free if you invest enough time and gather information. But for equipment you require money and cheap ones comes with uncomfortable compromises , if this company is fixing that i think its a great business idea and will also boost growth in content creation industry.

Carrier plans already exist from Jio and Airtel but it never picked up the pace because people like freedom. However, this subscription based formula without locking an operator may see the light in countries like India, it's basically buying on EMI, no? Edit: oh.. it says, at the end of your subscription you can either return the device and get the latest version or pay for another year to completely own the device, basically paying the full price to keep it, this is really interesting.

@railfanVishal

Bad idea, S24 Ultra is available from Amazon at ₹75k, these guys are selling it for ₹80k for one time payment. Even if you consider monthly payment, you end up paying 48-49k for a year, that's 65% of the phone's original value in a year.

Bad. 84k price for 12 months ownership of 17 pro max. If i buy a device and sell it in a year, i would get better price.
