I've always known this. Even if I knew that there is also Caucasian blood in me as well but was once my straight but thick hair, which is now a short cropped Afro, quickly became my signature dressing, within and without my so called, Niji slur of my ancestry. Something I always embraced and never failed in showing to my parents and siblings and ex husband, children and grandchildren. They've always known who they are and as a result, I have all the peace I need in this world as I have come to know it, as well.
