Sounds like someone at Apple heard my distress call about the state of timing and time synchronization on macOS!

@cli

You can say this is really good timing on Apple’s part

@cal2127

now see if you can get them to do something about their abysmal handling of SMB shares

Quick make a distress call about removable ram and SSD’s as well.

@SierraGolfNiner

That is hilarious. Either really really good timing or someone is smart enough to realize this can be fixed “easily” (eg by the application of one or two engineers). Well done!

Head of engineering: can we improve repairability, serviceability and upgradability? Head of sales: nope Head of engineering: what about moving the Magic Mouse charging port from the bottom to the front? Head of design: nope Head of engineering: well, what are we even allowed to do? Tim Apple:

Since the department is AMT and the position is in Boulder, this job will work on audio and video sync. Like how you get AirPods or stereo HomePods synchronized. There’s a lot of engineering for the Vision Pro in Boulder, so I wouldn’t be surprised if some AR products depended on this too.

Boulder, CO is the ultimate spot to pick up the NIST time frequency.

You should reach out to Dave DeLong. Ex-Apple engineer with an obsession with Time related math

Glad to head. I do wish thought that you could get them to recognize how they just effectively bricked nearly every older iPad with 17.7.7. Their point releases are getting on par with Microsoft's.

@KeyboardNewbie

The bottom of the pay range seems kind of low for such a job in Colorado of all places. I hope whoever has the skills to do it, also has the negotiating skills to get their worth

It’s in Boulder! NIST is here too

Maybe get them to sort how it’s so difficult to get photos on and off an iPhone unless you have a Mac while you’re at it. No, I don’t want to pay for iCloud.
