Personally, I like the longer reviews. BUT, take the Mini/Miata review. What if the Quickie was a 60ish second driving review cut from each car with a link to the full review? A sort of teaser video. Get the cuts where you’re feeling some emotions being one with the car (your “oh, wow” moments). Don’t do this short version for each review, or it could water down the value of the quickie! Seeing how a car invokes an emotional reaction is pretty memorable!

I like the long videos because of your commentary and personality. But I think if somebody found your content by specifically looking up a model and just want plain info, something concise would be ideal

I think what you have done so far is fine, Kirk. If you are going to do a 3 minute video, you'd might as well just post them as a YT Short here instead of creating a separate channel. (Other YT channels have seen success posting shorts with an increase in subscribers). * Comment copied from the KirksQuickies survey. P.S I wouldn't mind if you showed your smiling face for a second or two, just for an introduction...

Do reviews about the engine reliability, common mechanical issues, cost to repair. Not just the BS stuff you get fed by the manufacturer’s PR team. YouTube is full of such channels

I also suggest trying a single 2-act upload. Maybe make chapter 1 a quickie and make chapter 2 about detail and elaboration. Experiment to figure out what's best for YOU; just remember how much we love watching Abe at your office.

Ppl are quiting social media apps with AI filtered slop and sticking with YT with ppl who have long form content which show their face (ie true self) which is more meaningful. Granted YT does have its mixed bag but content really reigns supreme here than any other platform.

The people that really want all the little detail would benefit from a hidden “Extra” video attached to a quick review video. I haven’t seen this done and it makes a lot of sense.

Your reviews are in depth but it can be a pain sometimes to go through them. Not because they are boring but we do not want all the info at all times. A condensed review of 10 minutes would be appreciated. Keep up the good work.

Ten minutes is a good length for short reviews. I would just cut down your longer videos or do the first ten minutes of the short before you go into the longer drive for the reviews. Make it easy on yourself so you don’t have to shoot two separate vids. All your reviews are great either way.

I have not gotten the TikTok virus so I personally watch longer videos I don’t really like short videos

I like your long content presentations. I don't suffer from the attention span issues that modern consumers of media have these days.

Give your best no filler, I wish I had time for more, 3-minute review. The Dragnet special. Nobody wants to watch taffy making (stretching it out for more ad revenue).
