Sherry S.

Got an email from YouTube that my channel is no longer eligible for monetization which sort of rubs me the wrong way.

I don't really monetize my video, since obviously most of my videos are con recordings and belong to Creationent anyways (in terms of copyright), so demonetizating doesn't really impact me. But the language that YouTube use is "channel uses someone else's content without making changes that add significant value", which I don't know how to make of it.

All my videos are recordings I made. They're from me. They're not from anyone else. They're not anyone else's content. If what they meant was I'm using contents that Creationent/CW created, fine. But they're still not "someone else's content". No photographer has been told their photos are not their own work even tho they don't own the subject that they capture.

Anyways! Just want to get this off my chest. No real impact but still.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Sherry

As the filmmaker/photographer it actually is your content. I feel ya. Youtube must be fiddling with their crap again. You probably could fight that if you wanted to.

YT does weird things sometimes.. Some years ago I had a problem with a copyright that never existed.. Anyway, your channel is the one I like the most to watch spncon .. So thank you, I really hope the best for you 🙏
