Hanging the drywall is fine.... it's the mud /sanding that is tricky.

Another selection... I'm at broke home owners that cant afford to hire it done so have to research and do everything my self and learn thru trial and error... May not look like a pro, but it's done and I was picky took my time and I did it and saved 13k (bathroom remodel)

When I built my wife's she shed I watched about 4 hours of YouTube videos on how to mud drywall. One of your videos was one of the ones I watched. I took tips from everyone and it turned out absolutely amazing. I would definitely feel comfortable doing my entire house.

My suggestion to anyone that is thinking about doing drywall is this. Did you ever want to clean up those closets? Start gere doing the drywall. Did you ever want to finish off an area of the garage. Next step doing the drywall. Do that about four cycles before you start doing the rooms where the world will be your critical audience. Hanging is easy. Taping that's the Art and Money.

I have been doing drywall patching/renovation for 40 yrs, I like your butterfly/boardbacker combo, will be good when out of meshtape, also like the planer method you showed for wall straightening, no more kerf and splice for me, thanks

You make drywall look deceptively easy 😂. I watched a few videos of yours thinking I could get a level 4 finish the first time out. SPOILER: I do NOT have a level 4 finish but I finished the job myself. You have serious skills with the drywall knif

I'm in between the ninja and its hard. I like to hang drywall actually. I like to finish, but hate painting.

I wouldn't mind learning so I could sound proof my main bedroom. The exterior is hardi siding and a lot of sound gets in. It's the mudding that intimidates me.

Once and never again. Will always hire it out. They do a better job in one day than I can do in a week.

I have, and done patches. I prefer doing all new wall, but definitely no pro. The better you get the sheets hung, the easier time you have doing mud work. So I would appreciate tips to do a better job hanging sheets for the future.

Where’s the option where I do it because It’s not rocket science but it’s zero fun and I honestly would love to be doing something else BUT if you want it done right. You’ll have to do it yourself.

Drywall is my least favorite job to DIY. Dealing with drywall dust is the bane of my existence.

When we moved into our home years ago, the garage was unfinished. While it was open I added additional outlets and insulation. Next came drywalling. I quickly found out that the builders had no idea what a right angle was. Nothing was square, corners were off by as much as 2 degrees, and that was just the walls, the ceiling was worse. Like others here, I got it done and it looks decent, but I’ll never do that again.
