@MerkhVision

I used to have the same problem when I had an iPhone, but when I switched to the Samsung Galaxy S24 I was able to use the 30x zoom and it automatically adjusted the lighting and no BS I was finally able to take a decent pic of the moon like I always wanted!

@neutronenstern.

2 Tricks: 1. Zoom in, such that it is big enough, but not too much, so that you can still hold it stable. 2. You can even at the smartphone put the brightness down. Put it very low. 3. enjoy.

Try clicking the photos just after the sunset when there is blue hour , the photos will come out to be great and lower some brightness down

So true😢 My mom loves the moon but we live in different countries and every time the moon is looking beautiful I want to snap a picture and send it to her and it’s so disappointing each time… it doesn’t stop my mom from sending me her terrible moon pics. 😂

@HemalSolanki-n9n

I think that's beautiful too. It's just a simple moon, reflecting the sun's light, yet in its quiet brilliance, it somehow makes every other star lose its sparkling light.

@TheLastArbiter

On iPhone, turn off the auto macro setting, which sometimes keeps switching your camera when you try to shoot the moon. Then, change your exposure to the lowest. That usually allows the moon to focus for me enough to get the shaded features.

On the bright side, if you take a selfie and it's unflattering, now you know that the phone camera just isn't good at capturing the beauty what it is photographing.
