So, a lot of people have been referring to the Deltarune Patch as a nerf to the Roaring Knight, and while that is technically true, “nerf” isn’t the best way to describe it. The attack that got changed was the sword corridor, the ending of which is a lot easier to avoid. Pre-patch, the sword hit boxes were much larger than they were intended to be, and post-patch, they were changed to be accurately sized. “Nerf” implies that the attack was already programmed as intended, and needed to be made worse to rebalance the fight. “Fix” implies that the attack wasn’t as intended, and was changed to fit the original design. The Roaring Knight is still a difficult fight, the patch just makes it much more skill-based.
