Was excited for #DragonsDogma2 purchased it on release, spent £70 effing quid....

The game ran like rubbish and then they drop those shady microtransactions! Which yes I know what they are selling you can earn in game but..

Not being able to fast travel at will due to a currency needed, not being able to edit your characters or pawns looks due to a currency needed, and for them to then try sell extra currency as a MTX due to em being hard to come by in game screams shady at me.

I refunded the game, a game I had massive expectations for. I just can't support such shadyness when it's on this scale. It was clearly a planned part of the game. Capcom have taken a dive in my estimations.

Glad Microsoft refunded me 😀

Back to Helldivers 2 & LIBERTY!!!!!

@TheLastSchmendrick

Good on you! I've been considering doing the same on PS5, and paying HD2 until Shadow of the Erdtree.

Fast travel is done via a stone you can buy with gold which is very easy to earn. Also you can edit ur character whenever at a barber shop but to change your body you need to buy a book with currency earned easily aswell. The MTX is there for the lazy people who would rather buy than play.

You don’t need currency to fast travel, you need to find port crystals and use ferry stones to fast travel just like the first game. The cart is a additional means of travel.

Based, I waited to see Launch since a lot of modern launches have been bad. Glad I didn't give Capcom my money.

It's like someone cooking you your favourite meal, only to put some awful sauce all over it just as you are about to tuck in

@den_den6734

It seems like it's exactly like the first game just with a paid shortcut to fast travel and whatnot

For anyone wondering, the game has rift crystals and you use ferrystones to fast travel to a rift crystal you've found or placed. There is an in-game item that let's you change your main characters look for in-game gold in shops. Shops restock over time. Rift crystals are gained gradually in-game but usually you won't need to use the item too often early game. Game runs fine on console idk about pc. Microtransactions suck, but you don't need them. All the items aside from rift crystals can be purchased for in game gold in shops in the first major town, but if you truly think it'll ruin your experience don't buy the game, refund it, or leave a review of your choice.

If there was no social media, you'd be enjoying this game so much that you would forget to eat

Dragons Dogma 2 microtransactions are items you get easily in game! Im on PS5 game runs fine but I can see the PC complaints! What I cant understand is people still crying over microtransactions... you dont have to buy! Just dont spend your money and if you like to buy stuff do spend your money!

I have accumulated probably a few hundred thousand coins in this game in the limited time it’s been out. I don’t think it’s as bad of a grind as it’s made out to be

@GrandpaJenkins9001

I'm still playing it but yeah the grind for getting some of the items for free is just absurd, and also the fact that they actually just outright punish you for dying and reloading a save by reducing your max health each time you do it until you rest

It’s like asking for a cup of sauce for your meal at a restaurant and then saying “it’s 2$ a cup”

@nujevad28

Did you even play the first game? Fast travel and character editing wasn't something you could do easily there either.

@zornstein_-9472

Why are you lying about fast travel?

@spiritofsound8469

NEVER play a game on release. Always give it a few months for the devs to start working out the bugs.
