Tough, but I would say alternating, a few shorter videos and then on sometimes, you could have a longer video to cover a more in-depth topic. (i. e. whatever you're feeling like)

Sponsored reviews can be short. Tutorials and guides can be longer and detailed.

Mix of both. As technology advances. We just have more and more questions that some just requires a direct answer, and a how to video. Other than that you being doing a fantastic job!!! Well done!!

I am okay with either. I enjoy the quick reviews of stuff but really enjoy the deep dive into some of the tech. I started a smart home from watching the channel a few years back and it's been growing non stop since. I always take time at least once a week to catch up with your channels and Paul's channel with the Saturday morning uploads.

Both. It’s less about the length and more about the content to be honest. Even if I don’t have enough time to watch a long video, I generally watch what I can and come back to the rest later.

I can tell you this. I have engaged in your content in the past but not in a while. In the past few days YouTube has been pushing your content my way and I've been enjoying it. So clearly the algorithm is liking what you are up 2

I think it depends on the subject. If it’s a subject that warrants longer time or not. I’m not clicking so much for the length. Quality content is what matters the most

Both for me. How to videos around 6 minutes Reviews around 10 minutes+ Depends what's more practical for family life with recording & editing aswell.

I would say depends on the content. A tutorial on home assistant / diy solution - long video would be nicer to make it easier to follow along. To showcase just a product, a new release of something 6-8 min would more than enough.

Sorry, but I've got to say both have a place and both are needed Maybe alternate on a weekly or monthly basis, or as in when style of content dictates it?

I generally prefer shorter videos BUT I am fine with the length that the content dictates

I really enjoyed the past couple of videos but I also always enjoy the 20-30 minute videos

Sorry for the unhelpful answer, but both. I tend to watch shorter videos when I'm pressed for time. But longer ones go onto the watch list for when I'm in relax mode so they don't get viewed as quickly but I'll still watch them. So really comes down to what you want to do and how long you want to wait for it to show views.

I would say longer videos because I enjoy watching them and give me plenty of juicy content. I could watch instead of normal shorts.

I like the depth of longer videos. Most people here are focused on time rather than information density to which I'd recommend they watch at a slightly faster playback speed.

Smart Home Solver
Last week as an experiment, I uploaded 3 quicker videos in place of 1 long video. Instead of posting to the second channel, I wanted to try posting here more! But I'm curious, what would you be more likely to click on and watch?
