Horror game devs making a horror game about doing a mundane task for half an hour just to be jumpscare by a png and have to do it all over again(the true horror of the game is not the monster, but the repetition)

As someone who has worked a night time gas station job, “there’s a body in the truck abandoned by our store,” was an inconvenience more than horrifying

horror game devs when a low quality game about doing random chores around the house while you avoid your dad gets more attention

Also this is probably just what working at a real gas station is like

Bruh, chillas art and puppet combo are literally everywhere when they come out... And you literally described what is pretty much both of their styles.

i feel like atmospheric horror is much more impactful. imagine the feeling of a looming threat without there actually being one, it leaves you paranoid even in complete safety. think about exploring a mall that was recently abandoned, most of it is still intact but the fact that the place is devoid of life when a mall is usually filled with people makes it much more eerie, and leaves you paranoid, tricking your mind into believing that there is some unknown threat lurking about. if you've ever watched one of those urban exploration videos, you'll know what i mean.

All that build up and suspense just for a five second chase scene that results in you dying no matter what you do, to this day I close my eyes and still see that sweeping bar.

Horror game devs when you explain they can't just throw jumpscares non stop or have paint drying tension for 2 hours before dying as the ending:
