As you may have heard, Hermitcraft Season 10 is coming to an end. The end of a season is always bittersweet. You spend months, if not years, building and creating a world, only to let it go. But on the flip side, we get a whole new canvas to create fresh and exciting stories with.

I’ve seen some discussion about my ability to complete projects or bases. There’s an assumption that I didn’t finish Scarland. My main goal for Scarland was to build the entrance plaza leading up to the castle, and anything beyond that was icing on the cake. Would I have liked to expand it further? Absolutely. But I’m very satisfied with what I was able to achieve. Especially after the circumstances.

The zoo is a modular base; each component adds to the larger tapestry of the design. There isn’t really a set finish line. It can always be expanded or wrapped up at any point. That’s how I design my Minecraft bases. This way, if my health takes a downturn and I need to step away for a while, it doesn’t feel unfinished.

Thankfully, I’ve got energy and creative energy in the tank and there will be at least two massive episodes coming out in September. Just because there’s an end date for the season doesn’t mean the Hermits don’t have incredible things in store for you as the season wraps up.

On September 20th at 10 AM PST, we’re hosting a massive event on Hermitcraft. Plus, at TwitchCon San Diego during the Hermitcraft panel, we’ll be announcing the start date for the next season along with a few other surprises! There’s so much to look forward to over the next few months.

As always, there’s a great big beautiful tomorrow.

@SmallishGreens

As much as we appreciate your hermit craft videos, we appreciate your health so much more! All we ask is you be okay and everything else is sprinkles on the already amazing ice cream! Can't wait for season!

This is how I find out it's ending! Gosh. I had a feeling it was happening soon with how some hermits seem to be adding finishing touches. But I'm excited for a new season all the same!

The redwood trees alone would be a year for myself. The burning tree will always be in my memory as a beautiful build.

Whoever is “discussing” your inability to “finish” builds is crazy! You take us on a magical journey of a new completed build - each one a work of art in its own right - over and over in the course of a Hermitcraft season. You still have a storehouse of creative ideas that could be added to Scarland. That’s not the same as not “finishing.” I, for one, feel lucky to be here for the journey!

As a disabled creative, you've taught me so much about recognizing that the creative process ebbs and flows for everyone, but being able to use that process varies for those of us with disabilities means recognizing that creativity allows us to add on to each finished piece. Instead of trying to draw a whole hospital as I work through learning to draw buildings, I've been drawing just the waiting room of my appointments. Or the outside eating area of a cafeteria. So many things that can stand alone are often seen as unfinished - but a still life painting can be two pieces of fruit or a fridge worth of produce. Art grows in so many ways, but we can recognize that sometimes you can pick the flower off a bush knowing that the picked flower still has its own beauty separately.

I’m surprised anyone anywhere at anytime would ever question your dedication to making builds in Hermitcraft. You are one of the most dedicated hermits and you create the most beautiful builds. We all feel so blessed to journey with you in health and when unwell. You are real, you are human.

I never assumed that Scarland wasn’t finished. I honestly remember being in awe of how COMPLETE it felt, both in the videos and even more so when I wandered around the world download. Both Scarland and the Scarfari Zoo are larger projects than I could ever take on, let alone think of ever finishing, in my lifetime. I’m sad that Season 10 is ending, but I am excited to see all the cool new things in Season 11. And, as always, health takes the absolute number one priority! Videos from you are LOTS of fun, but we’d rather have you happy and healthy with a few less videos, than pushing yourself too far for a couple more videos a year. Love you, love your videos, and can’t wait to look around the zoo when the world download comes out!

Take care of yourself Scar! We all loved season 10 so much. Your zoo base and train were inspired. Can’t wait to see the builds and shenanigans of next season too!

Scar, you've told the story of how you've always loved Disneyland, and wanted to be a Imagineer as a kid . I feel genuine joy at the fact that you have been able to make that big dream come true in a real and meaningful way with Scarland. If someone were to ask me to describe a "success story" , your building of Scarland may well be one of the first things that comes to my mind.

As someone who has been working on a Minecraft base for close to a year now I’ve found a good base is never ‘done’. There’s always more to be added because the creativity of building the base creates new ideas. Sometimes I think people get so focused on the end potential end product they don’t see it as a potential evolving project with no fixed end. Your builds have been so amazing this season! I’ve really loved the beach and water exhibit you’ve made. The use of logs and slabs as a gradient looks so good!

This was my first time watching one of the hermitcraft seasons, as I wasn’t around for the others, and I’ll say- The crew doesn’t disappoint!!

The start to Hermitcraft seasons are always my favorite! Seeing everyone start from scratch, struggle through survival without the long-term luxuries they usually have, and come up with ideas on what they have to work with :)

Gosh Scar, how could anybody consider your creations "incomplete"? I'm so happy to have gotten to see you build all these amazing things, and I can't wait to see what's in the future! We love you Scar!

Scar, thank you for sharing your heart with us. 🌿 Every build you make, whether it’s Scar-land, the zoo, or even the little details in between—always feels complete because of the joy and creativity you pour into it. Your way of designing bases so they can evolve or wrap up at any moment is really inspiring, and it reminds us that art doesn’t always need a finish line. I’m so excited for the big episodes and the Hermit-craft event—thank you for everything you’ve created and shared with us this season.

It’s such a gift that anyone is still doing big building videos at the end of a season, when most videos are finishing touches and playing mini games. The boundless creativity it takes to work on the kind of endless base is, I think, a much rarer and more impressive skill than doing a clean conclusion, and part of what makes the builds so special.

Season X was my first ever season really watching Hermitcraft, and especially since this was such a long season, letting it go is pretty bittersweet. I’ve come to absolutely love Hermitcraft over this past year, and I can’t wait to see what everyone gets up to next season.

I know that to many people the completion of the builds is important but honestly, to me, it's more than completing builds! You all share your passions and teach along the way, and I find that so much more valuable. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED the more hanging with hermits that most you guys did this season as well, lol. You lot are apart from being genius redstoners, game makers, and brilliant builders, are FUNNY humans with hilarious interactions! That's why I enjoy you all as content creators and watch your variety gameplay :) cheers to season 10 and I cant wait for the next!

@jimcrumpet7015

Honestly scar, the part about the season ending that excites me is the hermits who are not as “in it” as others come back. Your commitment to hermitcraft far outweighs many others, and that’s enough for me to view anything you do in a positive light. It’s not like you’re building 3 buildings and then calling it quits and working on other series

Thank you for all the Good Times, sir! Words are not my specialty, but I would like you to know that season 10 was my first season and your beautiful builds and top teir shenanigans make me excited to see what's in store for season 11!

Anyone prioritizing some sense of “completion” has their head in the wrong space. We love to see you create and enjoy yourself, the end. The vast majority of your viewers just adore you and want the best for you! Please always prioritize your health and never apologize for needing to <3
