I just love how so much of the original content in Hilda, the "filler" that wasn't from the books, is noticeably creepier than most of the rest of the show. You can get a sense of what the interests and specialities the director and other teammates had that don't quite line up with the project so they slip it in when they can. Then I come on YouTube and stumble on horror shorts in the same art style and it's like "FRIKKIN called it. You were a closeted Horror writer this whole time!" TL;DR- Glad you guys are making what you want to make on your own terms. It's how we wish it always could be with animation.

I love the art style so much! It reminds me of my style and now I feel more confident in trying to animate with my own style, without having to change much

The way your art inspires me all the time... And the way that i started my artist life because of you It started with Hilda and I'm just as happy as ever to see more content with this unique style of yours

I walked home alone after dark and like, 20 different monsters tried to kill me, including but not limited to a werewolf, some weird things that came out of the pine forest, and a massive thing towering over buildings. Then it started RAINING SPIDERS. Also, weird thing I noticed, I keep having this same nightmare, anyways, I’ve learned my lesson to not walk home alone after dark

I can tell this animation will be something incredibly unexpected AND, with Hilda vibes. Again, let's hope that there be a Hilda crossover with this series, like.. I'm sure Luke Pearson wouldn't mind that his little blue haired adventure step into the horror halls of this masterpiece of a series.

Don't Walk Home Alone After Dark
I always struggle with showing anything before it's done, but I want to keep everybody updated. This next video is going to be something really special. I was thinking about getting into doing the odd livestream here and there just for anybody who'd be interested in behind the scenes work-in-progress kind of stuff. Would anybody want that?
Anyway enjoy this super secret sneak peek. And remember to get home before sundown.
