Some ideas for the gimmick wheel: Orbital Hydralander - Your deck can only contain up to one copy of any card. That Grass Looks Greener - Your Main Deck must contain 60 cards. Burden of the Mighty - Your deck can only contain one card worth points (for example, a 100-point card in a 100-point format). Elemental Burst - Your deck must contain at least one monster of each attribute. Inspector Boarder - Your deck must contain at least one Ritual, Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz monster. Bubble Crash - SR cards cost an additional 5 points, and UR cards cost an additional 10 points. Heart of the Underdog - Your Main Deck must contain 3 copies of any singular Normal Monster. Cup of Ace - Your deck must contain at least 6 cards that include a coin toss or die roll. Parasite Paracide - Each opponent can choose a singular 0-point card to put in your Deck.

not having dzeeff announcing a wheel series feels like a warcrime against humanity

RNGenesys is the only ‘pun’ based name I can think of for a wheel based genesys series. The wheel is functionally a random number generator so I think it works well. Excited to see more genesys content!

Be careful about the second wheel. Make sure that it isn't too unbalanced. I feel that if someone gets less points and the other gets a free card <50 points, then the game is too lopsided. Balance it around the extremes to the best of your abilities

I think the time limit often really restricts you guys in these types of series. I would be interested in seeing one where you have (a lot) more time. Maybe spin the wheel for the next episode at the end, so commenters can also theorycraft

I think the second wheel should be less of a buff and more of a... inspiration, maybe like something you can build around or a restriction that nudges you in a certain direction. That would be a lot more interesting than "get PoG for free". Maybe it could be a trade off? Like "play 1 DM staple for free BUT you have to adhere to this and that restriction"

Second wheel shouldn't be power level, but rather flavor imo. Example: first wheel -> 50 points, second wheel -> must contain 5 cats

Master Duel - Master Chef. I heard no one is using this name now. I even got an intro. "Each week, 4 of your favourite streamers will cook up a deck with ingredients provided by the wheel. The goal is to beat up the competition and impress the celebrity chat. Who will be the master? Let em cook"

I think it would be Super interesting if the second wheel maybe contained more "risk reward" type things which are optional for example You have to play 60 cards but get a free That Gras looks greener Or you get 25 extra points but can not play any cards above value X OR your deck can only contain 1 attribute for which you gain access to a specific card You COULD also implement a panalty for declining like "i dont want to do this so ill take a 25 point reduction to the allowed points"

The second wheel being for everyone will make it more balanced and fun. And instead of not playing the same archetype they can't play the same point cards for their following episodes.

If you wanna try something different, you can do a "Deal or No Deal" type of format. Have them pick a briefcase that contains a random point amount or special reward. Those points add to their cap. Every few episodes, reset the cap. If you lose the episode, pick an extra briefcase. If you win, you can either open special cases or get a "reroll" token for picking a case

I'd love to see a few l episodes without gimmicks to establish a baseline before introducing new mechanics! Feels like a really fun show idea though.

"Yu-Gi-Oh Genesys Roulette" I think something straightforward works perfect

I'd love to see a wheel shape what kind of deck they run: Ex. Every Spell costs +1 extra, or Normal Monsters cost -5 points (so the more garnets you run, the more expensive your deck can be). Something that dramatically alters the deck building process

First wheel - point values, second wheel - build gimmick 2nd wheel could be spun by both or once for both So kinda like Master Chef but, the guest judge is the 2nd wheel and the comments section decides who wins

I like it overall if you want to make it a series you should probably hall of fame the archetype in the most winning deck so there is more variety week to week

For the wheel I think an option that could be interesting is a minimum point option, but for some point value far higher than standard (like 200 points or higher, above 1000 points idk if it would be possible to build a deck, unless you include a side deck, but you could go that wonky if u want). That way you guys can explore deck building options most haven't even considered yet, which would be interesting to watch.

I like the concept, a bit worried about the 2nd wheel. So long as it doest get tooo complex i think it should be fine tho. Name sugesstion: Wheel-nesis (i am very bad with names)

Series Name ideas (brainstorming a bit here): Next Gen Wheel - The Genesys Wheel Wheel of Value (Because of the point value pool ofc) From Zero to Hero (Just because zero makes sense for Genesys and the archetype hero is quite well-known, and it represents one of the decks you could build with a higher point pool) Spin to Spend (the points, that is) Millennium Wheel (arbitrary reference to the millennium items, honestly might already be used by somebody) Pop the Wheel (no idea what this might refer to)

Alright, I'm putting this one through youtube to get it perfect the first time without too much need for reiteration and fixing the series but it's finally time - the genesys wheel! (give me a series name suggestion too)
We spin a wheel with numbers on them like 0, 25, 69, etc - that's how many points we have. We build decks within 30 minutes using that budget and we duel - can't use the same archetype again.
Okay! Now, I was thinking some gimmicks. So each person spins a personal wheel before building and there'll be a bunch of random things you can hit like "play 1 <50 point card for free", "play 1 DM staple for free", "minus 25% points this episode" etc.
Thoughts, suggestions, prayers?
