Highly Compelling

Haua Fteah is a huge cave in Libya that is an interesting site for possible Neanderthal habitation. Two mandibles dated to 70,000 years were found that have hybrid traits, along with transitional toolsets. Very likely a hybrid population, as we are now understanding the the Near East was a transitional zone. Libya is not far from Neanderthals' sites in the Mt Carmel region such as Tabun and lower sea levels would have meant there was a green coast around the Nile that could have been traversed.

This is gonna really bother the people who want to claim Egypt was founded by people who have NO Neanderthal ancestry.

💯 Thirty years ago, they had a complete sellout when it comes to archeological stuff. OK, weapons and girls, but large amounts of ancient finds

I always thought Skhul 5 had Neanderthal traits. It didn’t have a super prominent chin and a little bit of an occipital bun and brow ridges

Rewriting history constantly, there were a lot of different branches of humanity and it seems like homo sapiens assimilated most
