I woke up feeling alone today. I know it's a loneliness of my own choosing, but knowing that didn't alleviate my sadness. A few hours after waking, a good friend of mine called. I really didn't feel like talking. But, she continued anyway and told me a story that she was experiencing. A friend of hers was struggling financially. Her friend was so broke and feeling depressed after her dad died a few months ago. Because of this, her friend was finding it nearly impossible to pay her bills. Now, my friend had just received some money from a family member as a Christmas present and decided to help out her friend in need. She sent what she could to help out and in the course of the next day and a half told the story to two other friends. Each of the other friends took action and donated to the cause and contributed enough that my friend's friend (and her children) were able to survive through the financially difficult time. So what's the point of the story? I don't feel alone and sad anymore. My friend's story reminded me to stop thinking about what I don't have and start focusing on the gifts I have to give. There's a book I read thirty years ago called A Course in Miracles. The authors of the book define a miracle as this: "Miracles are the natural order of things because they supply a lack. They are performed by those who temporarily have more for those who temporarily have less." If you are feeling down, I challenge you to take action and remember that all situations are temporary. Use this info and remember to shift your consciousness so you can give your gifts to others in need. I wish you a Happy and safe Holidays everyone! All my love!! 🙏🏻❤️👍🏻
