Resting in your Femininity as a Single Mom…

At least twice a month I feel overwhelmed by the
challenges that come with being a single mom,

feeling like everything starts and ends with me, feeling alone even when I’m surrounded by people
feeling guilty that I should be doing more
feeling like I’m behind in life
feeling sorry for myself

and Although I strive to be the Proverbs 31 woman, who’s graceful in all my responsibilities, I remind myself femininity doesn’t mean perfection

So I allow myself to feel the emotions, to take a break and detach without shaming or gaslighting
myself because…it’s normal

it’s normal to have a dip, to be stagnant, to be powerless because life has seasons

So I make a choice…
I choose softness over harshness
I choose fluidity over forcefulness
I choose stillness over bustle

Femininity is a choice…
The mindset and lifestyle that you choose every single day regardless of your circumstances or what card you have been dealt in life
