The rocky barrens of the Snowy mountains main range (view from Mount Kosciuszko)

Crows (They're ravens) are the most prominent animals of the area, flying and landing over the many tors which cover the landscape.
Surrounding the last evidence of glaciers in the area are picturesque blooming meadows.
Peering over the lake you can spot another state's mountains.

When walking through such an environment, it reminded me most of the stereotypical environment of a caveman, the powerful winds, the valleys, tors, scrubby low lying plants and the circling crows.
It looked a lot like England's Dartmoor, and Tasmania's alpine regions.
