Riya: I have applied to 100+ jobs on LinkedIn but didn't get a single interview call
Me : How did you apply for the jobs on LinkedIn?
Riya : I applied through the easy apply method in jobs section.
Me : Stop lying to yourself :) and start putting some effort.
Applying to 100+ jobs on LinkedIn just through the easy apply button is a cakewalk.
BUT
Easy apply won't land you a "feasible" job opportunity in majority cases
Here's why :
1. Understand that easy apply means just 3 clicks and the application is done, that means tons of people are applying through it randomly inflating the numbers.
2. Easy Apply uses existing information in your profile hence, you cannot customize your LinkedIn profile for every job application.
3. Referral : There is no opportunity to present referrals and references.
4. There is no space to "present" your case as to why you are the strongest candidate for the job.
So for landing a good job offer it takes time and a lot of efforts. It's not a bed of roses.
