Javi can draw!

Hey everyone!!! I'm planning my next batch of videos and instead of trying to come up with ideas, I thought I might ask you:

What are your biggest struggles with your drawings? It doesn't matter if you are just starting, I want to know what are the things you find hardest to do when drawing.

I'd love to know if you could tell me by commenting on this post, there's nothing I'd love more than to help you overcome whatever is blocking your art joruney.

@VirideSoryuLangley

Just drawing the same face from different angles is a challenge. It feels like I'm just guessing.

I think seeing how you approach backgrounds would be cool as I'm currently learning how to do that.

I'm struggling with building a good intuition and muscle memory on applying the principals of design onto my art (onto lines, 2d shapes and composition). Even though I feel like I generally understand how to do perspective and draw characters in "3d space" with anatomy, I feel like that isn't enough to create interesting drawing... In some cases following the art fundamentals led to worse a drawing than if I didn't follow them (ex: drawing an accurate shape in 3d looked worse than if I fudged it to have a better looking silhouette/shape) This is why I think it's a design principal problem for me.

I have several problems. I start out a drawing but actually finishing can feel so daunting. I have the vision. I feel like I have the motivation, but continuing the draw just feels... Difficult. Especially when you don't get the result you want during the process, which discourages you from drawing any further!

Faces continue to be a struggle for me. Even using guidelines, it just doesn't seem to work. The same face from different angles, then? I can only dream lol

How to choose a good pose. I do a lot of gesture, copy poses, but when I confront a white paper and try to draw something from imagination feels weird. Also struggling when passing from basic forms to some anatomy, even knowing the theory.
