Hey everyone! As some of you have noticed, our YT channel and separate project but affiliated old TYER channel were both hacked this morning via one of our poor member's account. Thankfully our video uploads were not fully deleted (unfortunately Spiral's fun social posts on our community tab were wiped) and we have been able to remove the hacked content/livestream and restore our past cover videos that were temporarily unavailable. We're still working on fully fixing the rest of the channel, but at least the bulk of our content is viewable and back up!
We were touched by your comments, mssges, tweets, and support for our channel and how quick some of you were at alerting us to try to mitigate the damage (including some VERY old socials and contact methods for some members we forgot existed!). While we were able to quickly recover and fix re:TYE's channel, we're still in the process of fixing TYER's old channel that had outdated access permissions and security settings which has made it more difficult to access and remove the hacker's presence. We'll keep you posted both here via our YT community posts/tab and on Twitter/X as we work through this crazy time, and make sure you update your own security login details. Some of our friends and collaborators have also been hacked recently, so you can never be too careful!
We probably shouldn't have to mention this, but it goes without saying that any posts, livestream, or content that were posted within the last 24 hrs while the channel was hacked were posted without our permission and do not reflect the views or stance of re:TYE or any of its members.
On a more positive note, the group and upcoming uploads are relatively unaffected and our next cover upload is still scheduled to go up this coming Saturday morning! (surprise if you're not one of our patreon members that gets early updates and internal shenanigans).
