“All conflict” feels like a trap…a certain level of conflict and disagreement is healthy in a society, it allows us to advance and grow

Achieving full knowledge will allow us to better control and understand emotions. It will also help us to figure out how to end mortality (if it's even possible) and remove conflict which is usually born from ignorance, lack of resources, selfish needs and wants.

I feel like removing the first three would remove meaning from existence. Removing the fourth would improve it

@johncarterfr

You can make an argument life wouldn’t be worth living without these four things

@Dangerfloof999

It was a tough one between knowledge and conflict, but in the end chose knowledge. I think complete knowledge would massively reduce conflict because it’s usually a result of misunderstanding.

@rajahzia

Those things define us... removing any of them will lead to us becoming something different entirely.

@icedriot

I feel all of these are essential parts of human existence. I wouldn’t change any of them except respect for others. I feel like a lot of the issues we have in the world come from disrespect toward other human beings *edited some grammar errors

@enormous_jeff5870

With complete knowledge, you could achieve all the above

I also think eliminating suffer is more desirable than conflict… just saying. Because suffering would encompass conflict as well as so much outside of it. It also can be seen as removing chronic pain… so it’s useful to remove suffering

Erasing any of these would remove experiences that are vital to being human. I choose to change nothing because changing either four would ruin the point of being human.

@DGP24

I d like all people who have voted conflict to take a moment and explain conflict. I strongly believe conflict serves a deep purpose in human evolution, as fear keeps us alive. I strongly believe conflict in the depth of its meaning is a catalyst for "leaping" progress.

@musonobari2560

The first two would be devastating to us as a species. Particularly, the 2nd one would prevent the improvement of our genes across generations. So evolution would literally come to a halt. The 3rd has potential to render life meaningless or atleast utterly unbearable. The 4th is actually another side of the 1st. When you have emotions, conflict is bound to happen one way or another, especially when self preservation (and hence self interest) is instinctive in any form of life. 🤔

One of the best parts of humanity is our relentless drive to discover and understand the mystery’s of the universe. The journey is so much more incredible than the destination so I’d say conflict is the only one we’d be better off without.

I choose none, we need all of these things to have the existence and experience we're looking to have at this point in time on earth as a human, remove something and its not the same. Can't see how great the light is without the opposing side.

@enemyuavonline

Without emotion, there wouldn’t be conflict.

@CédricGeurts

I believe that certain emotions (not all of them) holds our species back from looking at things from a more objective perspective. Right now most of us look at the world from a first person view but to look at a situation objective you need to see the world from a more 3rd person kind of view. Emotion is one of the many constucts build to help our species survive just like others but we are not surviving anymore, or at least not in the traditional sense and that means that a lot of our evolutionairy systems have become a liability but people don't notice because it is a part of who they are and to question yourself like that is not in human nature. Thanks for reading and sorry for spelling mistakes

Throughout time the warnings of absolute knowledge have been clear - this is not a responsibility any one human can bear. In the wise words of Gandalf.... "Don’t… tempt me, Frodo! I dare not take it. Not even to keep it safe. Understand, Frodo, I would use this Ring from a desire to do good… but through me, it would wield a power too great and terrible to imagine."

@chaoticxtrem3152

Wouldn’t complete knowledge do all of them?

3 weeks ago | 6

@RichardKuhr

With complete knowledge, I will end my biological mortality and may discover other aspects of reality that are currently unknown to us--I will also utilize this knowledge to solve problems around the world and implement solutions on a large scale as long as possible.

@mariosh2

Complete knowledge solves mortality and conflict. I don't see why someone would need the first one.
