the first trailer i saw for this was maybe 3 weeks ago. i thought it was an insurance ad like the allstate ones where the guy who represents bad things is breaking everything

I don't understand why movies like this and kick-a$$ pretend like not feeling pain is a super-power. It actually makes you more likely to die and not know why

This movie was much better than expected for me. The concept is used well and his character is developed realistically around having had this condition his entire life. Jokes were natural and didn’t slow down the plot at all

I'm surprised you didn't make a connection to that one House MD patient with the exact same illness as Jack Quaid's character

I'm really tired of movies where men are portrayed as losers, and this movie is super guilty of that.

It's not bad but not great. Main character has the master of simp energy

The last act was so underwhelming, it was alright until that one reveal. 💀 then he became Super Simp

This real condition is actually very serious. Pain is really important for detection of internal issues.

I jumped off the Jack Quaid bandwagon years ago. Plays himself in every movie or show lol. He shows absolutely zero range as an actor

The concept seemed funny but in the trailers he’s completely shrugging off things that’d easily kill or maim him which I feel like is going to really annoy me in the movie.

Wasn't there a House M.D episode of a girl who had a condition to not feel pain?

We went to see it this past Sunday... we ALL had a great time.

You know one thing i always hated about hollywood is that we never got 2000s edgy numetal star trek and that sucks.

There's an actual actress named "Amber Midthunder?" In a movie that's rated only "R"? 🤣

Hey drinker when Agamenmon is watching his brother beat up Paris that laugh he uses would be perfect for your little cut away moments

Just go and watch Hardcore Harry it is a better take on the concept.

I like Jack Quaid. I didn't like the boys much at all after the first season. He had some moments in this where he was different from his usual typecast, and I enjoyed the film, but I do hope he does something outside his comfort.

The Critical Drinker
My review of Novocaine - a decent little action comedy burdened with terrible advertising.
