My favourte Star Wars fact is that the sandcrawler almost started an actual war. Libyan forces spotted what looked like a tank near the Libyan the border and angrily demanded that the Tunisians explain what it was and why it was so close to the Libyan border. The Tunisian foreign office had to explain that it was a movie prop and then got on the phone to Lucas asking him to move it further away from the border.

Luke had one great scene where he and Han ran to the land-speeder. Luke was supposed to slide over the hood and then Han jump in as Luke sped off. Janna had took out part of the bridge. Luke & Han were supposed to jump off the end of the bridge over a gorge. With Stormtroopers following in Imperial land cruisers. Sadly Luke kept falling off the hood until he hurt his hip. So they scrapped the whole thing. 😇
