My congressman is Jason Crow in Colorado. I am enormously proud of him and how he listens to the people. He was on the first impeachment team, and I hope he gets that chance again.

I went to senator hickenlooper town hall last week. It was in a +15 red district and everyone in the town hall was on the same page. All questions pertained to the rule of law, power of the purse and what tf we are gonna do. It was inspiring seeing about 1000 people definitely including republicans and independents all cheering for him to stand up for us. He started the town hall acknowledging that there would be republican voters expecting a hostile audience but everyone there was on board with slowing down this admin and fighting back. I have done tele town hall for Jeff Hurd and will do tele town hall for Bennett tomorrow. One guy yelled “I’m white and even I’m a scared” lmfao.

My Republican rep. did not hold a town hall, so 2 retired representatives (one republican and one democrat) are going around the state holding town halls in their place. They are appalled at what the Republican party has become and wanted to stand up for democracy.

My Congressman, Kevin Mullin, held a digital town hall this week focusing on immigration law. His guests were a law school professor and a working lawyer. After 60 minutes on that topic (where they said all the right things but it wasn't very energetic), he spent another 40 minutes or so taking questions in general. Because it was via livestream/phone I couldn't get a fix on the audience size, but Rep. Mullin took at least 25 Qs. People were indignant about what Trump was doing and he echoed that, with some specifics about his planned actions and tips for us. (I'd rate him about a B+; he's not quite an AOC or Jamie Raskin, but not a do-nothing either.) Dialogue stayed polite. He said he'll hold an in-person event in a few weeks; I plan to attend that, assuming it's within driving distance.

My magat representative will only meet in curated safe spaces because and I quote from a staff person from his DC office "groups are getting paid to protest and to embarrass the Republicans" 🙄 I assured them that they don't need any help embarrassing themselves and we are, in fact, not getting paid

I attended a town hall jointly hosted by the representatives of NY 03 and NY 04. They focused the meeting on social security and had former Social Security Administration Commissioner Martin O’Malley as a guest speaker. I found it most informative, and it helped ease my worries about receiving my benefits when I retire January 30, 2026. Several times throughout the evening, Congressman Suozzi stated, "...but we don't have the votes." So, come Q&A time I relayed that Senator Murkowski was asked in a recent town meeting what does she say to those that are scared and that she started her answer with " we all are scared." I suggested that if they could find a way to get her, and others that are scared together, they might, not only find strength in numbers, but have enough votes to get this bully out of office. To thunderous applause, I might add.

I went to a town hall for Representative Morrison and state Attorney General Ellison last week in the West suburbs of Minneapolis. A vast majority of the approximately 2,000 attendees were white and seemingly over the age of 65. Almost all were pro-democracy and anti-Trump. It was motivating and inspiring!
