So true! I’m over 51 hours in my 3 day water fast. Stepping aside to let the body’s wisdom take over and heal itself 💛

So glad I found Dr. Mindy Pelz. As of yesterday, it became official. I lost 100 lbs in 16.5 months by following her book “Fasting Like a Girl,” and watching her videos to help me eat clean during the eating window as much as I can. Thank you Dr. Pelz.

In the 90’s we were taught that in order to keep your metabolism burning fat you had to eat every couple hours. Like throwing wood on a fire to keep it going. It really pisses me off!

Great reflection on fasting! Thanks. I've felt a sense of accomplishment when I fast, especially when I acknowledge to myself the serious intentional effort I am putting into it. The fasting itself seems to greatly clarify my priorities with my time, energy, & goals. When I've fasted extended lengths of time, it feels like time slows down, but I also feel a sense of steady progress. Hard to explain it exactly, but I find it a calming & reassuring feeling...it always makes me very appreciative of wholesome foods, & I think it's helping me become more discerning of foods that weren't worth their flavor profiles because of icky ingredients masked to taste yummy. When I finished a 100 hr fast, I was so thrilled to accomplish it. I'm trying to vary lengths of fasts I'm doing, work in some high intensity exercise several times a week, & practice good food choices during the eating windows. I really love your videos. They help motivate me, because alot of times people will criticize trying to fast, & the good info you keep sharing on its benefits helps me stay focused. I've learned so much. Thank you! -From Melissa H at Twin Oaks Fam

I’m on my 6th day of fasting. Lost 12 pounds so far. I’m starting to document this here on my YouTube channel. It works. I’m so glad I’m finally doing it.

I needed this right here, right now— TODAY! I couldn’t understand why I was procrastinating my fast when I have done many successful fasts in the past. I keep saying, this is the last meal, the last snack, I don’t want to waste this food so I’ll eat it and start over…. My goodness, the narratives! All in hopes to finally feel safe. Yet, the feeling hasn’t had the opportunity to surface, it’s buried under massive amounts of food…

This makes sense to me now. I just completed the 30 day reset and realised that we really don't need to consume so much to live healthily. Now I do a 24 hour fast once a week and my energy levels and sleep patterns are so much improved. I can honestly say that this is the best I've felt since being post menopause.

I finally took the plunge. Been IF for two weeks combined with keto. First week headaches, low energy, but feel great, losing centimetres. Is it normal to have tummy ache when passing stool? 😅

But not many things feel as good as some freshly baked mini donuts fresh out the oven.. or a pizza fresh out the oven

Dr. Mindy Pelz
We’ve been conditioned to believe that eating all day long is normal - that hunger means something’s wrong, or that stillness in the body means you’re missing out.
But fasting isn’t about punishment or restriction; it’s about retraining your brain to trust your body again.
When you shift your mindset, fasting becomes a powerful act of self-awareness. You stop chasing comfort through food and start reconnecting with your body’s natural rhythm.
This isn’t about control, it’s about freedom. Freedom from cravings, from chaos, and from the belief that you need more to feel whole.
