After dropping out of college, Michael traveled through several countries, expressing anti-Western views and disillusionment with US global dominance. Influenced by “conspiracy theories and political anger,” he ultimately entered Russia in August 2023 and enlisted in the military by early September.
His recruitment was linked to a Moscow enlistment office known for signing up foreign fighters.
