You’d hope all the circuitry and everything is much superior to Godox to justify the cost. Tear one up man!

Well for me, Godox V1 is definitely enough than buying A1 from Profoto. Especially the main concern is the price

Had A1x. It looked great. Worked great. But the battery was draining while it was off. Talked to the profoto rep and he told me to remove the battery if I don’t used the flash. That was for me and I returned it.

The V1s is great but I suspect that pro photo is better durability… I hope.

I am keen to see because I have 2 V1s and they are both failing in one way or the other. One has a bloated battery,. The other has a broken baseplate/hotshoe mount… actually both hot shoe mounts became a problem until the one completely gave up. The inconsistency in the light as well… it tends to cast a green tint.

Due to the attention the patent issues between Godox and Profoto has garnered recently, I’m looking for a broken original a1 that I can tear down to compare to the V1 (and V860ii) so we can all get a closer look at how similar things Really are. Drop a comment if you dropped your a1 😏
