1. I would say Chrollo's my favourite. I probably wouldn't have said that prior to learning the Troupe's backstory, 2. Illumi would be interesting. Their relationship being what it is I don't know how that would play out. 3. I think Hisoka would have trouble with Feitan, I think he could survive long enough to use Pain Packer and Rising Sun. 4. Either Machi or Franklin. The rest either have too volatile temperaments or are outsiders.

my favorite spider by far is machi she is kind of in a league of her own in terms of versatility skill experience and the feats we’ve seen from her so far like shrugging of a enhanced blow from killua with intent to kill shows that she is not one to be overlooked or easily defeated when hisoka resumes his slaughter of the troupe

I think it’s mochi. I didn’t really have a favorite, but after playing the new game that came out I instantly gravitated towards her. She’s become one of my favorites to use and by extension. I can’t wait to see how I’m going to like her when I do my Yearly rewatch of the anime. No one, I mean, yearly rewatch I mean, I at least watch it five times a year, maybe a little less than that. Shiz has one of my favorite abilities in the series and before that I would’ve told you that she was my favorite member of the troop. I really like her ability. It’s really cool and I can’t understate that enough. Honestly, again, I think it’s gonna be Machi I wanna see what happens if she ends up snapping. She threatened to hunt him down if the boss wants to be killed so I wonder if she’s gonna have one of those rage out moments and showcase some wicked stuff. I’d rather see them fight as a collective than a one V1 situation. I feel like it’s a done deal for most of them a one V one situation but all out battle, I can see it some other way ways

1. Machi. Frankly: I get Machi. I feel like Machi can exist on her own and has avenues to naturally develop. I have no earthly idea what Kortopi would be doing in his free time. 2. Machi. Other than Chrollo she's the only interesting relationship he has in the troupe and she's been MIA. 3. Shizuki with a Blinky full of ocean and a SCUBA Tank. 4. Feitan In the case of Chrollos' demise at the hands of Hisoka or someone on the BW1: I think the majority of the Spiders will be hellbent on revenge, and Feitan is the coldest spider that does all their torture. Plus he's the only one with tenure. 4A. Also broadly I think only the founder troupe members would be contenders until there were no other options.

1: Probably Chrollo cuz he is the only one who can take relatively rational choices and i like his ability and design. Also troupe wouldnt be without him so...his backstory was fire too 2. Well i want to see Illumi to fight most because we dont know much about his capabilities and i like his chemistry with Hisoka. If not its Chrollo ve Hisoka obv 3. Imo its Feitan if we are not counting Chrollo. I dont see Hisoka defending Feitan's hatsu easily. 4: Franklin. Nobunaga is close second but i think he is too emotional. Franklin isnt the brightest but he is capable enough to rule troupe

1. Chrollo, but Machi and Shizuku have interesting plot connections and abilities respectively. 2. Chrollo aside, probably Nobu or Franklin 3. I agree with Franklin 4. Either Franklin or Feitan. Feitan was the temporary leader while Chrollo searched for the nen exorcist, right?

I also like Franklin and how he dealt with things in York New, but I think would not be a good fit to be the next leader because he has a tendency to choose to not act, just let things play out and then react to it. It is shown in York New and his attitude to just wait for Hisoka.

1. Shizuku is probably my favourite primarily because of her personality and design. I also really like Bonolenov and Feitan mainly because of their powers. 2. I want to see Machi and Hisoka reunion after their last encounter and i also want to see him fight Bonolenov just to see more of his powers even though i dont think it would be a tough fight 3. Probably Illumi since he knows him pretty well and probably has some kind of plan. But Hisoka also knows Illumi so i dont know. 4. To me, Nobunaga would be the best choice since he is generally pretty calm and rational person but i would say that the phantom troupe lives and dies with Chrollo.

1 after hisoka (yes ik he isn't a real or member) I would pick nobunaga as his design reminds me of a hobo samurai like the clothes common folk wear in dororo plus how he interacts with the other pt members and feitan because of how closed off he is and how his last has shaped him into this evil little man and it's always funny when gets gets angry 2 I would really want to see nobunaga fight with hisoka as seeing his iai jutsu(I think I said that right) would be an interesting interaction with hisoka's bungee um plus I don't feel like we've seen his up most potential and again feitsn as well because I want to see other variants for pain packer, maybe an icy hell or smth of the sorts if not fietan most likely bolonelenov with how battle cantabile can be used in battle effectively. 3 I think Franky would be a threat to hisoka cause of his nen bullets (I hope he opens up and elbow and shoots a missile) but the nen bullets should be able to interact like eto's coins if not better since he is an enhancement leaned emmiter 4 again I agree with you on Franklin cause of how calm and cool headed he is and the silent authority he has with the other pt members

I agree with the Franklin hype. He was the only rational troupe member when Chrollo was caught. Half of them crashing out and completely lost trust even in other troupe members. The other half meat riding chrollo so hard they would’ve done anything to get him back. Franklin was just chill and like “ if they betray us we kill them and if they don’t the spider will continue.” It really was just that simple. Plus i think going around the black whale one solo is a much dumber strategy then just waiting for Hisoka to come get you. Cos you can’t plan when u’ll fight hisoka so staying in a place u have the advantage is ideal. If all the troupe members were in one room and prepared for an attack Hisoka would have a near zero chance of winning. Outside of using underhanded tactics like poison gas or something. Which chrollo probably would’ve planned for.

To Q.1 Phinks or Machi, mostly because I appreciate Phinks's scenes and humour and macho has some of the most interesting connections and relationships among the troop (hisoka, chrollo, uvogin) also her learning new first is interesting. To Q.2 while the rematch will be fun, I'm most looking forward to the conflict between Morena and: Nobunaga, Feitan and Phinks; due to a combination of new powers and the built up hype around the Morena. To Q.3 Feitan: for multiple reasons, first Hisoka does not have any sort of attack I think is capable of killing seitan in a single strike (thus making pain pack easier to activate), secondly it is implied Feitan has multiple hats as part of set making easier to kill hisoka (by catching him of guard), thirdly wether you believe in the power of hisoka's post mortem men amp or not his rising sun nullifies the benefits if they existed, fourth bunge gum is often applied by affecting the environment as such Feitans aoe attacks are much more affective, finally while cold would be Hisoka's natural weakness rubber decomposes at extremely high temperatures and obviously gum melts (I am aware this is more of a validation of previous points) To Q.4 I might agree with you though Machi and Phinks are also shouts: machine for being very cautious and survival based and Phinks for the opposite since he is usably spear heading dangerous missions when chrollo is not around (greed island, and the discussion with Kurapika on the phone, though his rashness may be an issue)

1. Pretty easy choice. I'm going with Nobu. I just like how ruthless he is. He executes people without giving them a chance to defend themselves. Squala had a broken arm & Paku was holding him hostage but Nobu still decapitated him even though he wasn't a serious threat, plus Kortopi was there to lend a hand as backup. They were going to be in any danger since it was 3 vs 1 with a dog manipulator that made his dogs/only offensive tool run away. He also instakilled Luini the mafia guy from the Heil-ly Family when he was trying to be a diplomat & offer them to join his crew since he idolized them. He also tries to kill a lawyer on the lawyer's property. He doesn't give an f about anyone who isn't Troupe Member. He also was in tears when his boyfriend Uvo got disposed of. I liked how this was first moment where we see the Spiders showing explicit emotion & sadness/vulnerability in front of strangers. So much depth from characters that are barely in the story. I also liked how Nobu is the Troupe member in the 2nd most chapters behind Bossman Chrollo. He is the main member not named the head/0. 2. I dont want to see Nobu's hatsu even though I'm a fan. Togashi should make him like Uvo. Enhancers were stated by Wing to not need a complex/convoluted hatsu. Stick to the basics, keep it simple like a Shu or Ko for his blade. I actually want to see Machi since Hisoka spared her life & she is bloodlusted. Her vs Hisoka is what I'm prepping for. I also want to see Fei & Phinks vs those 3 Heil-ly members in the processing pit. 3. Hisoka will narratively lose to Machi. Other than that he is killing Bono during the next batch. Shizuku will go out to 4th Prince & fulfill the prophecy. Hisoka will fight at most 4 members other than Chrollo and defeat them. He plugs up Franklin's holes, Bonos holes, slashes Phinks, & kills the young Zoldyck for future potential Illumi plotlines. 4. Franklin "voice of reason" Bordeaux. Shalnark if he didnt die. No one else. I think Chrollo will die & his post mortem nen keeps Bandit Secret active. It gets passed down to the next leader of the Spider, a kid from Meteor City & the Spider is resurrected from the dead.

Hisoka doesn’t really count but he’s hilariously a menace to everyone. Aside from him my favourite would be Chrollo not just because of his ability and intelligence, but he’s a complicated character, like sure he’s evil but he didn’t start that way, in the PT flashback it seemed like he wanted to do good (kinda) but got lost in the revenge cycle and deep down he cares about his friends more than himself but he’s slowly starting to lose it and I can’t wait to see him break, probably when he runs it back with Hisoka. Also Machi because Japanese punk baddie and shizuku because goth baddie. 💀 2. Everyone, except the zoldycks because we kinda know how they fight already but still it’d be cool 3 either Feitan or Franklin because of what you said, and I think Feitan can probably evade strategically to pull off rising sun, but I think Nobunaga is kind of underrated because with his sword skills he can probably cut through bungee gum 4. I don’t really know but my gut is telling me Machi would be a good leader but your reasons for Franklin are very persuasive, I do think he’s more reasonable and levelheaded and would listen whereas I think Machi would be a bit more stubbor

1. Of all of them, Chrollo and Hisoka are obviously my favorites, but I'll assume you mean other than them. I liked Shalnark a lot. People always give Franklin the credit but I honestly think if you rewatch the show he's more of a leader to them other than Chrollo and him looking like just a normal guy compared to monsters was really funny. Also like how good he was at his job, he was really the information guy, from having a Hunter License to his ability, he got the job done 2. Hisoka and Machi for sure. Most dramatic one by far other than him and Chrollo 3. Honestly, Feitan. Out of all the remaining members, his speed seems like it would give Hisoka the most trouble in an actual combat without setup or an ambush. Plus he has a nuke button if needed 4. I already put my stock in Shalnarkcoin but I assume you mean of the currently alive members? I think Machi makes a lot of sense and cares a lot about the members but I honestly just imagine that if she does become leader then she would disband the troupe and put an end to all of this. This may come as a suprise but I'm thinking Phinks would be the best one to carry out the plan. Back in Yorknew he was all about keeping the spider going, thinking from a less emotional viewpoint and seems to be the leader of his little dynamic with Feitan. He would probably keep it going Also, if you're gonna make a video talking about the troupe and you love Overthinking things, I have a potential idea for you. Do you remember how the Troupe always travel in pairs? I'm pretty sure it's confirmed that Machi and Nobunaga were a pair and Kortopi and Paku traveled in a pair with Chrollo, You'd think that Feitan and Phinks traveling together would be a no brainer, but when they arrived into to town it was Nobunaga, Machi, Franklin, and Feitan. So was he traveling with Franklin? Then who were the other pairs? I think it's an interesting thing to think about

My favourite is Chrollo (basic,But honest), I want to see Illumi fight Hisoka the most and Illumi is also the one I want to see fight the most in general, I think the one Hisoka would have the most trouble with (other than Chrollo) is Illumi because he would use similar tactics to what Chrollo did against Hisoka, However that might also be why Hisoka could handle Illumi, In which case I would say Franklin because I think he can keep the distance, Fight tactically, Stay level-headed and he can fight at all ranges and I think Franklin would also make the best leader, But he might be too laid back in which case I would say Phinks because I think he would actually listen to the advise of the wider members but still have the gusto to lead them.

Discussion Topic: THE PHANTOM TROUPE
In light of having just finished the "How to Defeat Every Phantom Troupe Member" series, I'd like to hear you takes on the Troupe. Specifically:
1. Who's your favorite Spider and why?
My answer: Machi and Nobunaga, but I'd like to save my reasons why for a future video, sorry.
2. Which Spiders are you most looking towards seeing fight/interact with Hisoka (or maybe just fight/do stuff in general)?
My answer: like everyone, I'm looking forward to a Hisoka vs Chrollo rematch, but in general, I'd like to see what he'd do should he ever encounter any two (combat-focused) Spiders at once.
3. Which Spiders do you believe would be the most difficult for Hisoka to take on in a 1v1 (not counting Chrollo)?
My answer: Franklin. Dude doesn't strike me like the type of guy to do stupid stuff on a whim and was the voice of reason in York New on multiple occasions. If he's going alone, it's because he thinks it's the best way to go about it.
4. In case of Chrollo's demise, who'd be the best choice to take his place as the leader?
My answer: Probably Franklin, for the same reasons as stated above. He may not have Chrollo's acumen for strategy, but I think he'd be the most likely to proactively seek out advice and opt for the most optimal path forward.
